Introducing the CSLRP Roadmap
Today, we are introducing a new platform for Cross State Line Roleplay: the CSLRP Roadmap.
As our community and development process continue to grow, it has become increasingly important to create one central place where suggestions, bug reports, development progress, testing and releases can all be managed properly.
Until now, these processes were spread across several different parts of our community platform.
Suggestions had their own page, technical problems could end up inside the general support system, development statuses were limited, and completed work still had to be manually rewritten into a separate changelog.
Although each of these systems worked individually, together they created an unnecessarily fragmented workflow.
Players sometimes had to search through several pages to understand where they should submit something, while the development team had to move between different systems to follow the progress of a single feature or bug.
The CSLRP Roadmap has been introduced to solve this.
One Central Development Platform
The new Roadmap brings the complete development process together in one location.
Community members will be able to:
- Submit suggestions
- Report bugs
- Follow accepted ideas
- View active development
- Follow testing progress
- Read release information and changelogs
Instead of development information being spread across several unrelated pages, everything connected to the continued development of CSLRP will now be organized within one dedicated system.
For the development team, this also creates a much clearer and more manageable workflow.
A suggestion or bug report will no longer simply move from In Progress directly to Completed.
Development often contains several important stages between those two points.
A feature may already be built but still require internal testing. A bug may have been resolved but still need to be verified before it can safely be included in a server update.
The Roadmap allows us to show those stages more accurately.
An item can move through planning, active development, testing, preparation for release and finally publication.
This provides a much more realistic picture of what is happening behind the scenes and prevents unfinished or untested work from appearing as though it has already been fully released.
A Clearer Difference Between Support and Development
The introduction of the Roadmap also helps us create a clearer separation between support requests and development reports.
The support system will remain available for matters such as:
- Account problems
- Purchase questions
- Access issues
- Player-specific problems
- Situations requiring direct staff assistance
Technical bugs, however, belong within the development process.
This distinction may not appear significant while the same people are involved in both support and development, but it becomes increasingly important as our teams grow.
In the future, our support and development teams may operate separately.
A gameplay bug should then reach the developers responsible for investigating it, rather than remaining inside a general support queue.
The Roadmap gives every type of report a clear destination.
Players requiring personal assistance can contact support, while bugs and development-related feedback can be submitted directly through the Roadmap.
This will help reports reach the correct team more quickly and reduce the chance of important technical information becoming lost between unrelated tickets.
Better Transparency for the Community
The Roadmap is not only an internal management tool.
It will also give the community a clearer view of how CSLRP is being developed.
Players will be able to see:
- Which ideas are being considered
- Which features are being planned
- What is actively being developed
- What is currently being tested
- What is ready for release
- What has already been released
This does not mean that every internal development task will always be publicly visible.
Certain security fixes, infrastructure changes and confidential systems may still need to remain private.
However, whenever possible, the Roadmap will provide a transparent overview of the work taking place across the server.
It will also make it easier to explain why some updates take longer than others.
Development does not end when the initial code has been written.
New systems must be configured, integrated with existing resources, tested for conflicts and verified before they are released to the main server.
By showing a dedicated testing stage, we can give the community a more accurate understanding of that process.
Suggestions, Bugs and Releases Connected Together
One of the most important improvements is that an idea can now remain connected throughout its complete lifecycle.
A community suggestion can be:
- Submitted
- Reviewed
- Accepted
- Planned
- Developed
- Tested
- Prepared for release
- Published
A bug report can be investigated, resolved, verified and later included within a release or changelog.
This means final release notes can be based on the actual development work recorded inside the platform, rather than requiring every individual change to be manually reconstructed afterwards.
For both the community and the development team, this creates a much more consistent system.
Players can see what happened to their feedback, developers can clearly track what still requires attention, and releases can provide a more complete overview of what has changed.
The Next Step in CSLRP Development
The CSLRP Roadmap is another step towards creating a more organized and sustainable development environment for Cross State Line Roleplay.
As the server expands, the number of integrations, scripts, configurations and custom systems will continue to increase.
Managing that work through several disconnected pages would only become more difficult over time.
By introducing one central development platform now, we are preparing CSLRP for that future growth.
The Roadmap will become the main location for:
- Suggestions
- Bug reports
- Active development
- Testing progress
- Upcoming releases
- Changelogs
Relevant links on our existing community platform will gradually be updated so that players are always directed to the correct location.
More information about submitting suggestions and reporting bugs will be shared as the platform is fully configured.
We look forward to using the CSLRP Roadmap to make development clearer, feedback easier to manage and future updates more transparent for everyone.
