Pluto Addictions Coming to CSLRP
We are excited to announce that Pluto Addictions will be added to Cross State Line RP.
This system will bring a deeper and more realistic addiction experience to the server. Instead of drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, or other substances being simple one-time-use items, they can now have lasting effects on your character.
This adds more consequence, more medical roleplay, and more long-term storytelling to the world of CSLRP.
What Does This Mean for Players?
With Pluto Addictions, certain consumable items can become addictive.
This can include things such as:
- Alcohol
- Cigarettes
- Weed
- Pills
- Hard drugs
- Energy drinks
- Other configured consumables
Depending on how often a character uses these substances, they may slowly build up an addiction.
Addiction, Tolerance and Withdrawal
The system can track more than just whether someone is addicted or not.
It can include things such as:
- Addiction level
- Tolerance
- Cravings
- Withdrawal effects
- Overdose risk
This means that repeated use can have real consequences. A character may start needing more of a substance to feel the same effect, may experience cravings, or may suffer withdrawal symptoms when they stop.
This creates stronger roleplay around addiction, recovery, medical treatment, and personal consequences.
Medical Roleplay
This system also opens the door for more meaningful medical roleplay.
Doctors and medical staff can become involved in helping characters deal with addiction, withdrawal, and recovery. This gives EMS and medical roleplay more depth outside of only treating injuries from accidents or violence.
Addiction can become part of a character’s story, and recovery can become part of their development.
Why We Are Adding This
Our goal is not to punish players for using certain items.
The goal is to create a more realistic and immersive world where choices can have consequences and where medical and civilian roleplay can become more meaningful.
Pluto Addictions gives us another tool to make CSLRP feel more alive, more serious, and more connected to long-term character stories.
