The current internal planning window for the official opening of CSLRP is approximately two to three months.
This is not an official release date and should not be treated as a guaranteed deadline.
The precise opening date will only be announced after the possible open beta has finished and the development team has reviewed its results.
The Current Road to Release
The expected process currently looks like this:
Final development and stress testing → Possible open beta → Temporary closure for fixes → Official release
The beta would provide the team with the information required to determine whether the server is genuinely ready for a permanent opening.
If only minor problems are discovered, the server could reopen relatively quickly after the planned one-to-two-week closure.
If major performance problems, bugs or exploits are discovered, the official release will be postponed until they have been resolved.
Quality Before Deadlines
Quality will always remain more important than meeting an estimated release window.
CSLRP is being developed by a small team alongside employment, personal responsibilities and other commitments. The amount of available development time can therefore vary.
The team does not want to announce a fixed date and then rush important work simply to avoid delaying it.
An official release date will only be announced when the team is confident that it can realistically be achieved.
A Full Server Release
The planned official opening is intended to be the release of the full server.
The team does not want to launch a heavily restricted version with most major systems still unavailable.
The planned departments, economy, businesses, emergency services and core gameplay systems are expected to be ready for the official opening.
Should testing reveal that the server is not ready, the release will be postponed.
A stable and enjoyable experience is more important than opening the server before it has been properly prepared.
