As development of CSLRP continues, we are constantly reviewing our systems to ensure they support the experience we want to deliver at launch.
After careful consideration, we have decided to replace LB Phone with QS Phone V3 before the server officially releases.
Why are we making this change?
LB Phone is a powerful and capable system. This decision was not made because it is a poor resource or because it failed to meet our expectations.
It offers strong functionality, extensive customisation options and excellent possibilities for custom development.
However, while preparing CSLRP for release, we concluded that QS Phone V3 is a better match for the direction of the server and the experience we want to provide to our future community.
More benefits for the community
One of the main reasons for this change is the wider range of applications and integrations available through QS Phone V3.
As CSLRP already uses several Quasar systems, the new phone will allow more of these features to work together through one consistent and user-friendly interface.
Once the server launches, players will be able to access more activities, services and community features directly from their phone instead of relying on multiple separate menus or commands.
This will help make the server easier to understand, more accessible and more immersive from the moment players enter the city.
More freedom for future development
QS Phone V3 also gives us more freedom to expand the phone in the future.
Alongside the existing applications and official integrations, we will have the option to introduce custom apps designed specifically for CSLRP.
These applications could eventually support areas such as:
- Player-owned businesses
- Government services
- Community events
- Property management
- Civilian activities
- Emergency services
- Other custom CSLRP systems
This gives us more opportunities to build features around the needs of our community as the server continues to grow.
The right time to make the change
Because CSLRP is still in development, now is the right time to make this transition.
Moving to QS Phone V3 before release allows us to properly configure, test and optimise the system without disrupting an active player base or requiring players to migrate existing phone numbers, messages, accounts or other data.
This change is part of our wider goal to make CSLRP feel connected, polished and easy to use from the moment the server opens.
Looking ahead
We appreciate everything LB Phone has offered during development. It remains a powerful system, but we believe QS Phone V3 provides more long-term benefits for our future community and gives us a stronger foundation for the experience we are creating.
